Reported from Lobster Bay, Cape D'Aguilar (Ref. 33067). Also reported from Hoi Ha Wan, Tung Ping Chau (Ref. 94637); and Yan Chau Tong (Ref. 129329). Juveniles were recorded from Ma Shi Chau and Lai Chi Chong (Ref. 125536). One adult was recorded from a submarine cave in Conic Island (Ref. 125576). The species was observed on 101 to 200 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). Sold in live fish markets. Caught using traps (Ref. 125552) and handlines (Ref. 125576).
